The lubrication system is very important for the generator, so the maintenance work cannot be ignored, but everyone may know little about the maintenance of the lubrication system, and some people even ignore the maintenance when using the generator set. The following will introduce the maintenance of the lubrication system of the 100 kW generator.
1. Regularly clean the lubrication system and change the oil
(1) Cleaning time: Clean the generator oil filter regularly, and generally replace the oil pan and oil passage.
(2) Cleaning method
a. When the engine is in a hot state (at this time, the viscosity of the oil is low and impurities float in the oil), drain the oil from the oil pan, so as to remove the impurities in the oil pan, oil passage and oil filter as much as possible .
b. Add mixed oil (15% to 20% kerosene to engine oil, or mix according to the ratio of diesel engine to engine oil = 9:1) into the engine oil basin, and the amount should be 6% of the capacity of the lubrication system Ten to seventy.
c. When the 100kw generator runs at low speed for 5-8 minutes, the oil pressure should be 0.5kgf/cm2; above.
d. Stop the machine and drain the oil mixture.
e. Clean the engine oil filter, strainer, engine oil radiator and crankcase, and add new engine oil.
2. Choose the correct oil
Generally speaking, the instructions for each diesel generator set specify the type of lubricating oil used by the machine. Please be aware of this when using it. If there is no lubricating oil specified in the instructions during use, a similar brand of lubricating oil can be used. Do not mix oils of different brands.
3. The amount of oil should be appropriate
Before each start, the oil level of the 100kw generator should be checked to ensure that the oil level is within the specified range.
(1) The oil level is too low: the wear is large, the bushing is easy to burn out, and the cylinder is pulled.
(2) The oil level is too high: oil leaks into the cylinder; carbon deposits in the combustion chamber; piston rings stick; blue smoke from the exhaust pipe.
Therefore, when the crankcase oil is insufficient, it should be added to the specified oil level, and the cause of the lack of oil should be found out; when the oil level is too high, check the engine oil for water and fuel leakage, find out the cause, rule it out and replace it engine oil.
When adding engine oil, please use a clean funnel with a filter to prevent impurities from entering the crankcase and affecting the normal operation of the diesel generator set.
3. The oil pressure of the 100kw generator is adjusted correctly
Each diesel generator set has its own specified oil pressure. When the machine starts to the rated speed or medium speed, the oil pressure should rise to the specified value within 1min. Otherwise, find the cause and adjust the oil pressure to the specified value.
4. When using a 100kw generator, the quality of the engine oil should be checked frequently
(1) Inspection of mechanical impurities. When the engine is hot, check the engine oil for mechanical impurities (impurities are floating in the engine oil today). When checking, pull out the dipstick and look in a bright spot. If there are fine particles on the dipstick or the lines on the dipstick are not visible, it indicates that the oil contains too much impurities.
(2) In addition, you can also rub the oil with your hands to see if there are particles to determine whether the oil can be used. If the oil turns black or contains too much impurities, change the 100kW generator oil and clean the oil filter.
(3) Check the viscosity of the 100 kW generator oil. Use a viscometer to check the viscosity of the engine oil. But the more common method is to apply engine oil to your fingers and twist. If there is a sense of viscosity and stretching, it means that the viscosity of the engine oil is appropriate. Otherwise, it means the engine oil is not viscous enough, find out why and change the engine oil.
